We're on the lookout for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Full-Stack Web Developer to join our team. You’ll take a leading role with a wide range of projects and tech stacks, driving both front-end and back-end development with modern frameworks and technologies. You'll be a key decision-maker in shaping technical solutions, ensuring high standards with regard to scalability, security and performance. You'll have a deep understanding of web technologies (including JavaScript, React and PHP/LEMP stacks) and you'll support and mentor junior developers, collaborate closely with all stakeholders and play a crucial role in delivering high-quality digital products both internally and with our clients.

We are a creative web design and development agency based in Cardiff Bay and we've been in business for over 20 years. Our clients include a broad range of businesses and organisations, from small independent traders to recognised household brands. Our permanent office is based in Cardiff Bay but we offer a hybrid work model to give our team added flexibility and improved work-life balance.
Essentials for the role include
- Front and back-end web development experience (commercial projects)
- version control expertise including Git based CI/CD
- command-line fluency
- cloud server/infrastructure setup and maintenance (we host almost all of the work we produce)
- JAM stack experience (client and server)
- advanced Wordpress/plugin development (some experience of the Roots.io framework would be ideal).
- strong communication and interpersonal skills
- commercial awareness
- attention to detail.

- JAM stack including React and Next.js
- PHP (Laravel, Wordpress/Roots.io framework)

Responsibilities of the role will include
- Planning, designing, developing and deploying new-build websites and web applications.
- Development of new features/enhancements/upgrades to a stock of previously built websites/web applications.
- Creating clean, maintainable and well tested code.
- Debugging and problem solving.
- Web application and information security best practices, dealing with information security and pen-test reports.
- MySQL database administration, Postgres and NoSQL alternatives would be a bonus!
- Mastery of the entire web development process, including design, testing, build, deployment and maintenance.

Remuneration
A competitive salary package will be based on your ability and experience.
