A luxury brochure for a luxury getaway

Luxury canal holidays in the beautiful surroundings of the Brecon Beacons, Beacon Park Boats.

The Beacon Park Boats brochure is produced annually to complement their luxury boats and top-class service. We were asked to design this year’s brochure to fit in with work that is underway on their new website and booking system, which we’re also developing here at Core.

Showboating

Before we got stuck into designing the brochure, we researched and carefully considered the layout. We decided to produce it in A4 landscape as this format naturally lends itself to showcasing the narrowboats in stunning locations. We wanted the brochure to ooze luxury so kept the design clean and contemporary with pops of their recognisable brand green throughout.

Content is key

We applied a consistent tone of voice throughout the brochure and carefully crafted the copy to accurately communicate what Beacon Park Boats has to offer—luxury narrowboats, dream holidays and fantastic customer service, all in beautiful surroundings. They had a wide range of existing photography to choose from and this was carefully curated to show off each boat’s personality.

Eco luxury

We carefully selected a thick silk stock paper to convey the luxury service that Beacon Park Boats provides. We chose FSC certified paper (ensuring that the paper comes from responsibly managed forests) to match the eco-friendly values and ethos of Beacon Park Boats.

Print-based navigation

Beacon Park Boats have an impressive 22 luxury narrowboats to choose from. Naturally we wanted to make sure that customers were able to choose the perfect narrowboat for them as easily as possible, without the feeling to be overwhelmed by choice. We decided to introduce ‘tabbed’ pages so customers could easily navigate to the type of boat they were looking for, based on the amount of people it sleeps.
